The Brand Identity’s 'The Edit' highlights five recent branding projects from studios around the world. Featured work includes Angel & Anchor’s playful seaside-inspired identity for Little Sister, B&B Studio’s bright packaging for Citizen Spritz, Mint’s minimal Swiss-inspired design for HomeCourt, Pentagram’s nature-meets-tech identity for AI company Cohere, and Frans Hulet’s warm, type-led approach for Web3 project Eden. Together, the projects showcase diverse approaches to contemporary brand identity design.
Systems Studio created a bold, concept-driven identity for sound design studio SAATU, centred around a barcode motif that visually represents the brand’s focus on sound. The design uses brutalist simplicity, monospace typography, and a flexible colour system derived from client visuals. The result is a distinctive, conceptual identity that subverts typical sound design branding conventions.
Brussels-based studio Somekind created a vibrant and characterful brand identity for Juicy Lucy, Europe’s first adaptogen-infused juice. The design features a custom logotype based on Pika Ultra Script, paired with Neue Haas Unica, and a color palette of pink and burgundy inspired by nature and sunrise tones. The result is a playful yet grounded identity that reflects the brand’s natural and empowering ethos.
BP&O features Garbett’s new brand identity for Baseline, a government and commercial builder based in Surrey Hills, Australia. The identity uses a modular block system inspired by construction foundations, paired with Neue Haas Unica typography and monochrome photography to convey precision and reliability. Motion and pattern applications add warmth and playfulness to an otherwise austere industry aesthetic.
