Instagram has launched its first brand refresh in a decade, retaining its handwritten wordmark while tightening its loops, reducing flourishes and giving its lettering a bolder, more squared-off form. The wider identity introduces updated Instagram Sans alongside Instagram Pen and Instagram Mono, plus refreshed motion, layout and UI systems. The existing camera glyph and signature gradient remain, while response to the new mark has been mixed.

Israeli studio Nihilo designed the brand identity and bottle for emerging tequila brand Casa Malka, balancing rawness and royalty through contrasting typography, materials, and 3D visuals. The project features typefaces Azeret Mono and Gimlet Display Compressed, a gold wax-sealed bottle, and a virtual world created with 3D designer Haruko Hayakawa. The result is a refined yet edgy identity that reflects the tequila’s dual character.
