SMLXL created the identity for the 28th edition of MoMA PS1’s Warm Up summer music series, produced as part of the institution’s 50th anniversary. The campaign uses music-reactive typographic movement to create artist-specific graphics, digital assets, and posters deployed throughout New York.
PORTO ROCHA developed a brand platform and campaign for MoMA PS1, the Queens institution for contemporary and experimental art. Centered on the message “PS1 IS YOUR PLACE,” the system provides adaptable language for exhibitions, performances, educational programs, and community initiatives. The studio elevated the existing PS1 Slab typeface in type-driven layouts, used a prominently rotated logo, and expanded the institution’s color palette. A chalkboard-green hand-painted mural announces “Your Place since 1976,” referencing the site’s former life as a public school.
New York and Barcelona-based studio SMLXL created the identity and campaign for MoMA PS1's 2026 Warm Up summer music series. Built around PS1 Sans, the system uses a custom tool that maps audio frequencies to distorted, dancing letterforms for motion graphics, artist announcements and posters.
Merchery developed a custom merchandise collection for MoMA PS1's 50th anniversary, extending PORTO ROCHA's "PS1 is Your Place" identity into durable, collectable physical products. The collection combined adapted catalogue items with custom-made, Pantone-matched totes, bottles and notebooks, and launched at MoMA PS1's April 2026 anniversary Block Party before reaching the MoMA Design Store online.
