East of Rome’s Lewis McGuffie has created Glotik, a six-weight sans serif family that combines humanist proportions with archaic and medieval character. The typeface supports extended Latin, monotonic Greek and extended Cyrillic, with alternate Sillion uppercase forms inspired by uncial manuscript lettering. Its development drew on Clearface Gothic, ITC Novarese, Rudolf Koch’s Jessen Schrift and imagined late-classical and early-medieval settings.
