Visual System for P.A.C. Bakery
A receipt printer turns a bakery’s weekend menu into a design experiment.
Polar developed P.A.C.’s visual system through a long-running collaboration with the bakery. The system is centered on typography and allows for evolving layers of illustration and analogue printing.
Insights- Thermal receipt printing becomes a graphic tool: monochrome output, coarse resolution and translucent paper shape special menus made for a single weekend.
- Cheap, temporary formats give the studio room to improvise without turning every experiment into a permanent brand rule.
- Beatriz Batisteli’s recurring illustrations draw on the bakery’s community and move between paper bags and walls, continually refreshing the visual language.
- Typography anchors recognition while illustration varies in mood and density. The case credits Gronland and KTF Rublena.
- Packaging, ceramics, menus and the space share an evolving vocabulary. The identity is designed to respond to the bakery’s changing products and daily life.
