PERF 004–007
Four PERF releases bring contrasting images into one artwork collection.
Nonverbal Club collaborated with Tiago Carneiro on artwork for four PERF releases in 2026: Força Maior’s Morte Lilás, Vasco Lé’s These Tears Feel So Eerie, Spitbender’s Spin and Amuleto Apotropaico’s Língua Espúria. The collection brings together contrasting image treatments rather than a single repeated cover composition. Blurred fields of green, blue, red and yellow sit alongside a small amber object on white, a misted windscreen photograph and a gestural painted image. Photographs and layouts show the artwork across record sleeves, vinyl labels and cassette packaging. Small-scale typography accompanies the imagery, while the different formats provide several views of each release’s physical presentation.
Insights
- The four releases use distinct image treatments, from blurred colour to photography and painted marks.
- The documentation presents both flat artwork and physical packaging, showing how images sit on sleeves, labels and cassettes.
- Small-scale typography gives the larger image compositions visual prominence.
