Non-winning housing proposals become the focus of Lost Causes.
Nonverbal Club designed the campaign and exhibition for Lost Causes, a project created and curated by João Manuel Miranda and Tiago Antero. It examines the urgency of rethinking housing possibilities and politics through non-winning architectural competition proposals. The visual language uses black dots, straight lines and curved paths on predominantly black or white backgrounds. In animation, the dots and connecting elements shift into different configurations; printed posters and event announcements carry related diagrams alongside compact typography. Photographs show the graphics on printed material, digital communications and an exterior banner, while exhibition views document architectural models displayed on tables. The campaign also extends to announcements for talks and the associated publication.
