Flagship Store Design for Aurora Cannabis

Bruce Mau Design created an 11,000-square-foot flagship at West Edmonton Mall for licensed cannabis producer Aurora Cannabis, collaborating with GMC Architects. The space combines an immersive experience area with a cannabis retail store, alongside signage, wayfinding, communication materials, and visual-merchandising advice. Its concept connects Aurora’s natural-element brand references—mountains, sky, water, and sun—with its production technology through materials, lighting, and digital experiences. Custom fixtures, rearrangeable loose furniture, and poured-concrete bleachers support changing merchandising, events, seating, and charging needs.
