Typographic Identity and Digital System for a French Production Agency
A production agency brand that literally mirrors its talent—here’s the twist.
TDC Awards: Bleed developed a typographic identity and digital design system for Solab Films, a French production agency working across music, fashion, and film. The concept, 'Solab Films reflects talents', centers on mirrored typography and a flexible color system that visually prioritizes creative talent while maintaining a minimalist, dynamic aesthetic.
Insights
- Bleed’s core concept for Solab Films—“Solab Films reflects talents”—is translated into mirrored typography, making the identity visually frame and prioritize the agency’s creative collaborators rather than the agency itself.
- The typographic identity leans experimental but stays minimalist: mirrored letterforms create movement and dynamism without relying on illustration-heavy branding.
- A flexible, modular digital design system supports Solab Films’ cross-industry output (music, fashion, film), allowing layouts to adapt while still feeling like one coherent brand.
- Color is treated as a system, not a palette: a flexible approach (including monochrome moments) helps shift emphasis per project while keeping the overall language consistent.
- Recognized by the TDC Awards, the work shows how a single formal constraint (mirroring) can scale into an extensible identity across digital touchpoints.
