I've been struggling with this lately and have decided to stop chasing too much for the time being, as it was taking its toll on my mental health.
I try to set deadlines for the first two weeks of December in the hopes of being able to have the rest of December free to wind down before the festivities and close up any pending bookkeeping and admin tasks.
