Job Posting Brand / Graphic Designer, Pentagram Team Giorgia Lupi
About This is a paid, full-time position, working in-person at the Pentagram studio in New York City, with a start date no later than November 1, 2026.
You will work directly with Giorgia Lupi and a small team of designers on projects for clients ranging from global corporations and startups to non-profit and cultural institutions. Unlike many large agencies, at Pentagram, there is no creative director layer between design development and decision-making. Every member of the team works directly with the partner that leads their team; with a relatively flat hierarchy, everyone is expected to contribute meaningfully throughout the process.
Candidates should have experience with branding, identity design, campaign design, and design systems. An interest in data / visual storytelling and an ability to design for complex content is a must.
This role is for a conceptual thinker who can generate strong ideas and execute them across brand, digital, print, and motion with rigor and craft. We are looking for someone who enjoys creating distinctive visual forms and expressive design systems and is fluent in designing digital experiences. We value designers who are equally excited by visual culture and emerging technologies and who see both as opportunities for invention. This is a hands-on design role. We're looking for someone who enjoys making work and experimenting with new tools. The designer will contribute across projects—developing innovative visual solutions while maintaining clarity, consistency, and high production standards.
What You’ll Do You will be a meaningful part of Team Lupi’s work, from concept development to production. As a Designer, you will:
● Develop visual concepts and design systems across identity, digital, motion, editorial, and environmental media ● Create clear, persuasive presentations that help carry the work into the room ● Develop brand guidelines, client-facing design tools, and production-ready handoff files across print and digital media ● Maintain a high standard of typography, craft, consistency, and detail across everything that leaves the studio ● Participate meaningfully in internal reviews and client presentations ● Interpret client and internal feedback with judgment, clarity, and a point of view; take feedback without ego or insult

● Collaborate with strategists, writers, developers, photographers, illustrators, animators, fabricators, printers, and other specialists ● Manage your time and priorities across multiple projects; communicate proactively with project managers and team leaders to ensure deadlines are met

● Comfortable creating and developing design concepts that respond to a client’s brief, and to any strategic deliverables. ● Able to lead a client project, presenting work, facilitating discussion about pros and cons of a specific design proposal, and responding to and implementing feedback. ● Detailed-oriented communication designers, with an exceptional eye for color, layout and typography. ● Editorial-oriented storytellers, skilled in designing engaging narratives with a variety of media. ● Highly proficient in all mainstream design software, most importantly Figma and Adobe Creative Suite and motion software such as AfterEffects, Cavalry or Rive. ● Interested in generative design, creative coding, and emerging technologies: we don’t believe in the use of AI for creating concepts and ideas, but we are intrigued by the possibility to prototype and build ad hoc tools for our designs.
Compensation This is a full-time position based in our Union Square studio. The starting salary for this role is $80,000-$105,000 depending on experience. We work in person three days a week, with lunch provided Monday through Thursday.
