Collection Naming And Launch Campaign For A Luxury Furniture Brand

Luxury furniture company Rove Concepts partnered with John Legend on his first furniture collection. newkid led naming, strategy, narrative, creative direction, and the campaign launch. Drawing on the meaning of “rove,” newkid framed the concept around journeys, culminating in the name Journeys Collection and a lifestyle narrative that connected literal and metaphorical travel. To introduce the collection, director Theo Skudra crafted film storytelling shot entirely on 35mm to add warmth and texture, supported by photography and campaign assets. The launch reached culture-forward audiences and earned press from Billboard, WWD, and Essence, positioning the collaboration as an elevated, taste-led entry to the category.
