Pentagram developed the industrial design language for Living Optics’ first hyperspectral camera and developer kit. The L-shaped, anodised-aluminium hardware is designed to house evolving optics while establishing a scalable product family for high-frame-rate computer vision tools.

The L-shaped body arose from studying the underlying optics. Pentagram designed it to accommodate different sizes and lens arrangements as the technology evolved.
Anodised aluminium supports CNC machining and refinement between manufacturing batches, making the material choice part of the development process.
The design combines familiar signals of camera precision with a simpler expression suited to a software-led device.
