Typographic Art For Saima Zaidi And The Oxford University Press

Otherness collaborated with scholar Saima Zaidi to create typographic visuals for a Pulitzer Grant-funded essay exploring Karachi’s abandoned Circular Railway. The work transforms Urdu letterforms through processes of distress and erosion to evoke the city’s history of displacement and decay. The result is a culturally sensitive yet emotionally charged reflection on urban transformation and loss.
