Naming and Brand Identity for a Smoked Food Emporium

Limegreentangerine created the name and brand identity for Root & Ember, a luxury delicatessen in Clifton, Bristol offering cured and smoked foods, local produce, and pantry supplies. The studio developed the name around “Root,” representing local produce and sustainability, and “Ember,” representing warmth and smoking craft. The identity combines ink-drawn illustrations that create charcoal-like texture with a crisp logo mark merging a shoot, root, and flame. The visual system uses Storica, a modern serif typeface, alongside earthy tones inspired by nature and flame, and was applied to packaging.
