Bruce Mau Design created a new identity for The National Ballet of Canada, positioning the organization as a collective and creation company. The identity uses a wordmark as a storytelling device, pairing active verbs such as “invites,” “welcomes,” and “presents” with performance narratives. Deliverables included dancer portraits and video, a jewel-toned colour palette, a monogram, motion templates, and a website design developed with Adage Technologies. The system uses Eiko and lowercase Haffer, alongside a custom glyph tool developed with Displaay Type Foundry to set the mark and narrative consistently.
