Environmental Impact Labelling for Oxford University

AKQA collaborated with Oxford University to design an environmental impact labelling system that helps consumers understand the ecological footprint of their food choices. The framework goes beyond carbon emissions to include biodiversity, pesticide toxicity, and water usage, providing a holistic view of each product’s environmental cost. The system is being piloted across UK cafeterias with the goal of scaling to supermarkets and food outlets nationwide.
