We looked at every variation of blue in this range – truly! – and this shade won for its combination of uniqueness, ability to translate on a range of materials, and ability to beautifully brandblock.
It encapsulates the irreverent spirit of the brand, but evolves its look and feel.
We wanted the visuals for Sake Ono to capture its purity and Japan’s rich heritage of sake – but to avoid pastiche interpretations that felt well worn and uninspired.
We then decided on floral woodblock prints as a starting point for the final design and dug into research on how we could use symbolism and colour to cue these ideas of purity and celebration.
Pairing the floral element with our dark bottle brought an interesting tension to the visual identity.
The Brand Identity features Mythology’s rebrand of personal care brand Harry’s, marking its first major visual overhaul in 12 years. The New York studio, collaborating with COLLINS, introduced a bold electric blue palette, a custom flared serif wordmark by typographer Sunny Park, and refined packaging to reflect Harry’s evolution beyond razors. The new identity balances modernity and warmth, signaling the brand’s maturity while retaining its approachable personality.
NYC-based studio Mythology created the identity and packaging for Sake Ono, a sake made at a 470-year-old brewery in the Japanese Alps. The design balances Japanese sake heritage with a contemporary character through a tree-peony die-cut label, a rough hand-drawn wordmark by Walk a Thought, and a high-contrast black, white, and Toyo Red palette.
