There’s always something I haven’t figured out yet.
The time you put into something can keep creating value.
These self-initiated projects are where I can follow an idea purely because I think it’s interesting, weird or worth exploring.
I knew from the beginning that I wanted the brand to have a sense of humour, and Ribbit felt like a really natural way into that.
Keeping the label minimal and grounding it with cleaner typography brought it into the present and created a nice contrast with some of the weirder, more playful parts of the identity.
I cloned it into 12 individual legs and ran a soft body simulation inside the jar.
Each typeface in the trio is meant to represent a different personality, much like the unique individuals you find around a table sharing drinks and stories.

New York-based brand designer Saxon Campbell created Ribbit, a self-initiated identity and packaging concept for pickled frog legs. The playful brand combines Southern pickle-packaging references, humorous copy and hand-drawn details with restrained contemporary typography, custom 3D jar renders and AI-enhanced campaign imagery.
