Melbourne-based Studio of Design and Art (SODAA) created a new brand identity for Front Office, the fashion label founded by doctor-turned-designer Ken Sakata. The identity explores dualities such as tradition and technology, drawing on Japanese aesthetics and the concept of 'ma' to express balance and space. Using typefaces ABC Arizona Flare and Reform Grotesk, the system reflects archival research, understated craftsmanship, and a refined visual tone aligned with Sakata’s philosophy.
STUDIO MIMU™ developed a refreshed brand identity for Sydney-based landscape architecture studio Land+Form. The new identity balances nature and structure through a custom Reform-based logotype, earthy tones inspired by Australian landscapes, and a dynamic website that reflects live weather conditions. The project highlights Land+Form’s ethos of care, context, and co-existence.
The Brand Identity interviews Melbourne-based studio SODAA, exploring how co-founders Thomas Benson and Taiki Monden balance creative passion with client satisfaction. The discussion covers their growth since 2018, their collaborative ethos, and their playful approach to design, including a 3D-rendered website and annual creative gifting projects. The studio emphasizes community, small-team culture, and long-term client relationships in the food and hospitality sectors.
