In their own words
Art + Water's spirit of openness, exchange and shared knowledge was the starting point. We wanted to create an identity that rejects institutional stiffness and instead feels flexible, alive and unapologetically vibrant.

a visual language that can keep being reshaped by the people using it
The words act almost like typographic walls, creating room for imagery.
Sometimes it’s on the edges, acting almost like a piece of detailing, giving a format a distinctive finish without dominating it.

- Macfadden & Thorpe creates fluid identity for Art + Water
MacFadden & Thorpe and independent brand designer Anisha Sachar created a fluid identity for Art + Water, a San Francisco waterfront art hub founded as a free alternative to conventional art-school study. Drawing on the flow of the bay and the exchange of knowledge between established and emerging artists, the system uses a bendy custom wordmark, winding type, shifting image frames, loose motion and hot fuchsia and electric aqua.
- Studio Lisca shapes River House identity from Suffolk brick and rivers
London-based Studio Lisca created the launch identity for River House, a Suffolk residential building company founded around construction expertise and a design-led commercial focus. The system combines the rigid form of local brickwork with river movement in a scalable geometric pattern, applied across print, digital and built-environment touchpoints. Pale blue and brick red replace an initially considered Suffolk pink, while ABC Arizona Flare and Hanken Grotesk balance expressive character with functional clarity.
