Brooklyn-based studio Order created a vibrant, psychedelic brand identity for Sourdough Disco, a small New York bakery founded by Erin Wahed during the COVID-19 lockdown. Drawing inspiration from 1970s disco album art, the identity uses OH no Type Company’s Cheee typeface and colorful organic shapes that echo both the era’s visual energy and the textures of sourdough bread.
Boulder-based Cast Iron Design created a packaging identity for Byte, a new vegan snack-bar brand made with MCT oil. The work avoids conventional granola-bar branding through psychedelic 1960s shapes, an electric 1980s and early-1990s palette, mouth icons, and expressive typography, while using recycled board and water-based ink for selected applications.
