Com’è bello far l’amore da Trieste in giù is a real-time generative video installation by Giga, created with Fosbury Architecture, Alterazioni Video and Fantamagico for the Italian Pavilion at the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale. The piece acts as an artificial stream of consciousness that continuously links the pavilion’s nine collaborative projects. Drawing on a curated data archive, the system procedurally composes scenes through a balance of logic and randomness, combining audiovisual fragments into dynamic collages and overlaying them with text excerpts selected by the curators. Each time a new association emerges, the scene dissolves and is rebuilt. Source footage was manually tagged by multiple individuals, producing a layered, subjective taxonomy that enables associations that both harmonize and clash, adding conceptual depth to the evolving narrative.
Created for the Venice Architecture Biennale 2025 and curated by Carlo Ratti, 'Archive and the City' is an exhibition that explores parallels between archives and urban systems. Studio FM Milano developed the concept, exhibit design, and graphic direction, revealing how networks and structures connect the organization of ideas to the anatomy of cities.
Refik Anadol Studio created an AI-driven installation exploring the intersection of neuroscience, architecture, and molecular biology. Presented at the Venice Architecture Biennale, the work visualized brain connectivity and cellular structures through machine learning, 3D printing, and large-scale projection to redefine the concept of spatial perception.
