Snask created a monumental physical graphic identity for Malmöfestivalen’s 30th anniversary, transforming typography into an interactive 13 x 8 meter art installation. Built from thousands of nails, liters of paint, and hundreds of plywood sheets, the piece invited visitors to climb, explore, and experience design on a massive scale. The project gained global recognition and turned the festival into a vibrant typographic playground.
Snask developed a fully handcrafted visual identity for the 29th Malmöfestivalen, embracing the theme of 'paper'. Every element—from branding materials to large-scale street installations—was made entirely of paper and cardboard. The project also included stop-motion film ads and editorial paper portraits distributed citywide.
A refreshed visual identity was created for Malmöfestivalen, Scandinavia’s largest city festival, celebrating its 30th anniversary. The design captured the vibrant, inclusive, and celebratory spirit of the event, uniting the city through bold colors and playful forms across all festival materials. Created while working at Snask, with art direction and design by Jens Nilsson.
