G&W FREELANCE MOTION EDITOR & DIGITAL CONTENT CREATOR We’re looking for a freelance Motion & Social Content Editor to support the creation of short-form digital content across our brand and client projects.
This role focuses on editing and motion execution rather than concept development. Our team develops the creative direction, visual assets, and campaign ideas. You bring them to life through thoughtful pacing, refined cuts, and platform- native motion for Instagram and TikTok.
You have a strong eye for composition, rhythm, and typography, and understand how to translate a design-led brand into moving image.
The Role: • Edit short-form video for Instagram and TikTok using existing footage, photography, and design assets • Create simple motion from static brand layouts and typography • Cut campaign footage into multiple social formats and lengths • Apply transitions, timing, and music with a refined, brand-aligned sensibility • Prepare exports in correct specs and ratios across platforms • Collaborate with our creative team to ensure consistency and quality
You are • Highly detail-oriented with strong editing taste • Confident working within established brand systems • Fluent in short-form video formats and social pacing • Comfortable with typography in motion • Efficient, organized, and responsive
Tools
Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, Cap Cut for small task Familiarity with social platform formats and specs
Part-time freelance Ongoing, flexible hours based on project needs Remote ok, with preference for Vancouver-based candidates
