Visual effects for a sports biopic film

The Mill delivered 118 visual effects shots for Karateka, a sports biopic directed by Aritz Moreno about Sandra Sánchez, the most successful kata karate athlete in history. Produced by Atresmedia Cine, Sr.&Sra. and Karateka AIE, the film celebrates determination, discipline, and resilience. The Mill’s Film & Series team in Liège created seamless effects designed to support the film’s emotional and cinematic storytelling without drawing attention to themselves. The work included a technically demanding hero shot lasting nearly three minutes. VFX supervision was led by Barthélémy Beaux, with Laurence Hoeters overseeing VFX production.
