The Mill, formerly MPC Paris, delivered 656 visual effects shots for Luc Besson’s Dracula: a Love Tale over a six-month production period. The work included around ten fully CG sequences and involved 162 artists and technicians. Key challenges included creating a wolf meadow with extensive CG snow, a full CG castle exterior and surrounding landscapes, and animated gargoyles that felt agile yet believable. The Mill also handled complex cleanup, environment reconstruction, and digital-double replacements for performers. The project balanced stylized creature animation with the aesthetic of practical sets to support the film’s dramatic, theatrical tone.
