Installation for Sitin

Structure Bâtons created this installation in collaboration with Gauthier Plætevœt, invited by Olivier Prigent. Presented in the group exhibition “SIT-IN,” it followed Plaetevoet’s 2014 residency at the Ciap de Vassivière. The volume reinterprets Vassivière Island through layered circulation zones derived from geolocated data gathered on site, producing a fictional relief. A wall-format counterpart uses linear signs to translate movements recorded during the routes used to collect the data; the 30 × 40 cm work was laser-cut.
