Typefaces for Digital Topographic Maps

Structure Bâtons created Carto ANRT, a 2014 specimen prototype in Nancy credited to Sébastien Biniek. The project presents a custom typeface family designed for maps and develops a testing protocol for digital topographic mapping. Its research addresses legibility over map backgrounds and the composition and spatial arrangement of words in topographic maps.
