Experimental Lettering by Structure Bâtons

Structure Bâtons created a public educational typography workshop for Angle Galerie Art, authored by Lucile Bataille with Nathalie Chabanal (teacher) and Irène Mieussens (educational adviser). CE2/CM1 pupils developed letterforms and a vocabulary of shapes over several sessions, producing an expressive typeface named Burlesque around the school’s circus-themed end-of-year show. The work used normographs, markers and laser processes, and was applied to a poster for the event.
