Architectural Design For Shibuya Upper West Development

Snøhetta designed the Shibuya Upper West Project, a 119,000 m² mixed-use development in Tokyo for Tokyu Corporation, L Catterton Real Estate, and Tokyu Department Store. The project blends residential, retail, and hospitality spaces with cultural and artistic experiences, creating a new urban landmark that harmonizes tradition and modernity. Expected to complete in 2029, it aims for top sustainability ratings and contributes to Japan’s carbon-neutral goals.
