Custom typeface creation for a contemporary art gallery

Schick Toikka was commissioned to develop a custom typeface for Pitted Dates, an exhibition space in Helsinki that showcases contemporary art. The typeface, characterized by a sans serif style, embodies the gallery's poetic spirit and enhances its visual identity. In addition to the primary typeface, the project included a series of hand-drawn symbols and punctuation marks, providing a distinctive touch that aligns with the gallery's artistic vision. This unique typeface serves not only practical purposes in communication but also adds to the overall aesthetic experience of the gallery, reflecting its commitment to contemporary artistic expressions.
