Schick Toikka, a German-Finnish type foundry, sought to revive the tradition of the printed specimen book after five years of creating fonts. The studio collaborated with nine renowned designers, illustrators, and artists to provide personal interpretations of their typefaces, resulting in a remarkable sampler of visual poetry. This collaborative project produced a first edition in 2018, featuring 192 pages in a softcover format, printed in two colors and limited to 500 copies. The design was developed in collaboration with Deutsche & Japaner, emphasizing the unique contributions of each participant, celebrating the art of typography.
