Christmas Light Installation for Barcelona’s Aragó Street

SMLXL was selected through a public competition to design the Christmas lights for Aragó Street in Barcelona. The project reimagined traditional festive lighting by using humorous everyday Catalan phrases as illuminated banners, reconnecting the city’s residents with their cultural identity through a contemporary and civic visual language.
