Motion Design for Knauf’s Global Social Launch
One blue line connects Knauf’s three construction businesses.
Studio Plankton created a 3D animated brand film for Knauf’s new global social channels, alongside a localizable 10-second teaser and social posts and stories. The film uses a single blue stroke on a blueprint that rises, folds and stretches into walls, insulation layers and ceilings; three blue shades represent Knauf’s business units. It scales this construction system from a family home to the Elbphilharmonie and Burj Khalifa, without voice-over or local language.
Insights- The film begins with a single blue stroke on a blueprint, which rises, folds and stretches into walls, insulation and ceilings.
- Three shades of blue identify the three business units while showing how their materials form a complete construction system.
- The narrative scales from a family home to the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
- The main film avoids voice-over and local language so the same visual story can travel across markets.
- A localizable 10-second teaser, posts and stories support the campaign’s practical task of directing audiences to new global channels.
