Packaging and brand world for an artisanal mezcal

Menta developed branding, packaging, stationery, collaterals, website, and social media design for The Lost Explorer Mezcal, an artisanal spirit from Oaxaca. Inspired by the region’s rich fauna, mysticism, and traditional alebrijes, Menta created a contemporary visual system influenced by Guadalupe Posada’s etchings for a global audience. The studio collaborated with illustrator Daniel Barba on label and collateral artwork, and designed floral elements for each SKU. Thoughtful typography, energetic color, and detailed label composition extend across the packaging and unboxing experience, helping distinguish the three mezcal varietals while expressing the brand’s connection to Mexican culture and the sacred agave plant.
