Automated Type Design for Experimental Font Creation

Daniel Wenzel’s research project investigates how automation, code, assistive tools, and neural networks can reshape the type-design process. The project produced more than 100 experimental fonts and font concepts across five approaches, from variation and interpolation to AI-assisted form generation.
