Orange information strips connect IPS’s varied natural imagery.
Bureau Borsche created the visual identity for the Institute for Postnatural Studies, a centre for artistic experimentation and critical research. The studio’s portfolio combines botanical and geological imagery with bright orange information strips and compact black lettering. Photographs, microscopic-looking patterns and landscape images sit beside dense typographic labels, giving the work the appearance of an evolving visual collection. Published applications include material for Postnatural Gardening and Wametisé, where text blocks overlay imagery or occupy clear bands within the composition. The identity therefore accommodates markedly different kinds of natural imagery within a recurring graphic structure. The institute’s own website credits Bureau Borsche for identity and Carlos Mayo for the website; the studio case presents the visual system and its applications.
