Book Design For David Hockney Retrospective

A Practice for Everyday Life designed a monograph to accompany David Hockney’s full-career retrospective at Tate Britain in 2017. The publication balances youthful and mature portraits of Hockney, large full-bleed reproductions, and carefully scaled layouts, unified by a typographic system using Bureau Grot and Fakt. The result captures both the artist’s prolific energy and his enduring connection to British art and design heritage.
