Publication Design For Ai Weiwei: Disposition

A Practice for Everyday Life designed a book accompanying Ai Weiwei’s politically charged works Straight and S.A.C.R.E.D., exhibited by Lisson Gallery at the 55th Venice Biennale. The publication’s formal layout and manilla-board cover evoke the aesthetics of official documentation, subtly subverted by typographic interventions that mirror the artist’s critique of authority.
