When Airbnb launched, it was essentially about one thing: booking homes.
People are always going to come to us to book a home, so we needed to enhance that, not get in the way of it.
It had to be intuitive, browsable, and genuinely useful – while still feeling unmistakably Airbnb: 'Fun, alive, and simple.'
We’re trying to create opportunities for people to go out into the real world and stay connected.
