Brand Strategist – Based in Stockholm

Strategy · Stockholm · Onsite Brand Strategist – Based in Stockholm Apply for this job Are you a strategist who rejects the safe, expected consensus? Who can find the answer nobody else saw, and convince the client it’s the right one? Can you translate complex business dynamics into sharp, high-conviction brand platforms that inspire world-class design and decisive client action? And do you thrive when you’re leading the work, from the first analysis to the final recommendation? This might be your next role. The opportunity We’re continuing to grow our Stockholm team and are looking for a full-time Brand Strategist, ideally starting in January 2027. What you’ll do You’ll lead brand strategy on complex, consequential questions — helping organizations understand what’s changing, where they need to go, and the role their brand can play to help them get there. That might mean repositioning a global transportation company for a changing market, helping a bank navigate a landscape reshaped by fintech, or building a health-tech brand that speaks to a new generation of consumers. You’ll shape the strategic direction and be the person clients trust to guide the way. Main responsibilities Lead strategic projects and workstreams, and drive the process, team, and client forward Work side-by-side with designers and creatives to translate abstract strategic platforms into distinct visual identities, communication platforms, and brand experiences Develop high-conviction strategic recommendations firmly rooted in data, insight, and imagination that bridge commercial ambition with creative tension Build convincing presentations and be able to both read and win over a room Mentor more junior strategists Spot new business opportunities and help drive pitches What we’re looking for You might already work as a brand strategist. Or as a journalist who makes sense of the world and crafts stories people believe in. Or as a creative who turns strategy into something people want. Or as an insights specialist who’s ready to shape brands, not just understand consumer behavior. What we care most about is that you combine sharp cultural instincts with the commercial rigor to move client businesses forward. Qualifications Around 3–4 years of relevant experience, with a track record of leading work that changed a client’s direction Solid experience in brand building or adjacent strategic work, and real curiosity about culture, consumer behavior, and what makes brands move Confidence presenting and facilitating with senior stakeholders, and experience coaching others Higher education in business, marketing, engineering, psychology, journalism, or other relevant fields Fluent in English; additional languages (including Swedish) are a plus Eligibility to work in Sweden Who we are and what we offer Kurppa Hosk is a brand agency built for decisive moments. Across Europe and the U.S., our team of 200+ partners with companies at the moments that define them, when clarity is required, and compromise is costly. Working closely with leaders, we help turn bold decisions into confident brands that stand out far from the middle to create momentum and drive demand. We work with brave organizations, from early-stage start-ups like Heart Aerospace and Källa to established brands, like Zalando, Scania, Nike, Meta, and Minecraft. We’re also a founding member of Eidra, a collective of specialist companies, so you’ll have management consultants, digital experts, and product innovators down the hall. To support your professional development, you’ll have access to a personal development coach, courses in emerging fields like generative AI and GEO, and regular peer feedback on every project. Benefits include 30 days’ vacation, a wellness allowance, private health insurance, an occupational pension, and a phone and laptop. You’ll also work from our award-winning office at Grev Tureplan. How to apply Send us your resume and a short letter introducing your background. In it, please cover two things: An example of a brand or category playing it too safe or heading toward irrelevance. What bold, non-obvious decision should their leadership make right now? Great strategy requires getting clients comfortable with being brave. Tell us about a time you defended an ambitious, unconventional strategic idea against safe compromise. Keep the letter to one A4 page at most. We’re reading for how you think and how you express yourself — so give us your own thinking, in your own voice. We’d much rather read something genuinely yours than something perfectly polished by AI. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until November 1, 2026.
