Monospace proportions meet soft, rounded forms in TT Glips.
TT Glips is an experimental monospaced sans serif from TypeType, released on 3 November 2026. Its design began with two constraints: monospace proportions and soft, rounded forms. The resulting letterforms combine high contrast and italic-derived shapes with a humanistic character that becomes more apparent at larger sizes. Stylistic sets can make the design more geometric or expressive, introduce a single-storey a, and change punctuation proportions. The family also includes oldstyle figures and ligatures. Released in one style, TT Glips contains 981 glyphs and 28 OpenType features, with support for more than 230 languages. The project explores the contrast between an apparently technical rhythm at small sizes and the softer details visible in display use.
