A Youth-led Awareness Platform For Young People Facing Online Sexual Abuse

Hear The Youth created WTFFF!? to help address online sexual abuse affecting young people, including sextortion, grooming, and unwanted sexting. The project was shaped through ethics, open dialogue, and co-creation with teenagers to ensure the approach felt relevant and trustworthy. Hear The Youth spoke directly with young people, ran user tests at a skatepark and other locations, and even involved 14-year-old boys in the art direction. This youth-led process helped reduce barriers created by stigma, guilt, and fear, encouraging more young people to engage with the topic and seek help. The platform achieved strong results, with average engagement exceeding 10 minutes and a reach of more than one million young people.
