Machine Learning Installation for Stockholm’s Historical Archive

Latent History is a large-scale installation by Refik Anadol that uses machine learning to reinterpret 150 years of Stockholm’s photographic archives. The project transforms millions of images into a dynamic visual narrative, exploring collective memory, urban identity, and the unseen layers of the city’s past and present.
