Editorial design for a Hong Kong youth culture publication

Pengguin created the art direction and editorial design for Breakazine 071, a 2023 print publication by Breakthrough. Titled “The World Is Irrelevant to Me,” the issue explores digital apathy in Hong Kong and asks why many people feel detached from current affairs, social issues, and local stories. The publication examines how scrolling, likes, and platform habits can replace deeper engagement with news, especially amid post-2022 recovery fatigue. Pengguin shaped the issue as a visual narrative that supports reflection on news avoidance, disengagement, and the shifting forms of attention within youth culture.
