Two versions reveal the development of one drawing publication
Studio Andrew Howard designed a publication of drawings by Joana Siza Vieira, commissioned by her father, architect Álvaro Siza. The brief called for a limited edition produced through digital printing. The project documents two versions of the book, making the development of the commission part of the presentation. The first was a large-format proposal that could be produced as a single copy because it was digitally printed. Although physically realised, this version was not selected. Siza instead chose a more conventional design, shown in the second sequence of images. Presenting both versions keeps the initial proposal and the chosen direction visible within the same project. Nuno Moreira is credited for the photographs.
