Book Design For Erik Madigan Heck: The Tapestry

A Practice for Everyday Life collaborated with artist Erik Madigan Heck to design The Tapestry, a book exploring his evolving visual language through colour, layering, and composition. The design merges tactile materials, embroidered covers, and translucent dividers inspired by 19th-century artists’ books, creating a richly textured and reflective object. Classical typographic choices further connect the publication to its historical influences.
