In their own words
For Manta, the ingredients aren’t supporting information; they’re a central reason to choose the product.
Putting them on the front makes their quality immediately visible and makes choosing easier, particularly for people with specific dietary needs.
Standing out on a crowded shelf was less important. We had more control over how the brand was presented, which allowed us to communicate the product on its own terms.
We treated the ingredient list as part of the identity, giving it enough space to become one of the pack’s primary elements.
We wanted the ingredient photography to resemble simple botanical studies, a visual archive in which each ingredient is isolated and shown in its raw form.
What stood out to us immediately was the almost ascetic use of ingredients, in contrast to the rich, sensorial world of chocolate.
Colour, texture, and organic forms brought tactility to the brand.
a handmade gesture that sits deliberately outside the structure, introducing something imperfect to an otherwise rigorous system.
Every element of the identity became an expression of the idea that chocolate could be a source of both nutrition and pleasure.
We’d like to think that Manta feels at home in the world of chocolate while sitting slightly outside the category.
