The lilac was added later in the process to create a sense of contrast and differentiation between the products.
Tonally, these colours also make a subtle nod towards the red and blue of police sirens (without being so overt).
In line with our brand idea of ‘arresting the senses,’ a condensed font worked well to tighten the compositional space and create maximum impact.
I wanted the design to feel big, noisy and hypnotising.

BP&O features The Colour Club’s branding for Tsukiyo, a Japanese street food restaurant in Sydney inspired by Osaka’s Dotonbori district. The identity uses GT Maru Mono typography, bold gradients, and kinetic logo motion to evoke the energy and atmosphere of Japanese nightlife. The project balances cultural references with restraint, creating a poetic and modern brand system across packaging, signage, and digital applications.

The Brand Identity features Common Studios’ vibrant rebrand for Toronto doughnut and coffee shop COPS. The Sydney-based studio, led by Kelsen Findlay, created a bold, colourful identity using pinks, lilac, and geometric patterns paired with Avenir Next Condensed Bold typography. The result balances playful chaos with clarity, embodying the brand’s unapologetic and sensory-driven character.
